HOME  PROJECT MANAGEMENT CRIT "TELETÓN"

In 1998, Fundación México Unido (United Mexico Foundation) asked Systec to take charge of coordinating the construction of the first Infantile Rehabilitation Center Teletón – known as CRIT – in the state of Mexico, for handicapped children. The center was inaugurated in May 1999 by the then president of the Republic of Mexico, Dr. Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de León and the First Lady.

Systec checked the executive project and coordinated the implementation of the works.

The terrain considered for developing the project was 27,000 m², and the finished construction was to be 21,000 m².

Construction of the original project had been calculated at 8,000 m².  However, because of the requirements of a right of way for a water conductor that crosses the zone, it was necessary to change the location of the project. The new site was much more ample, which allowed for a new design of greater proportions (more than three times the original conception).

It had been estimated that six months would be needed for implementing the executive project, and another ten months for the construction. It was therefore necessary to work two shifts and using a fast track process.

In order to carry out the coordination of the work, a “Programa Meta” (Target Program) was followed, which helped us to identify critical events and the responsibilities of each of the participating companies.
